Hi all,

I am a fairly new celiac - 10 months on diet after just a year of
discovering I had celiac disease by biopsy.

I was very, very lucky to have the biopsy when I did because they also found
a cancerous polyp deep in my colon which would have been a silent killer,
and by now, a year later I would be slowly dying. I thank the good Lord
each day for the wonders of a gluten free diet and the joy of slowly
discovering that life can be free from that persistent diarrhoea and tummy
ache.

However, and this is really a small problem, one I could live with!!! But
maybe someone knows the answer......

I use very little makeup as my skin is so sensitive and I react to all sorts
of moisturisers and creams. I guess now its gluten and wheat reactions.
But it would be nice to be able to wear lipstick occasionally.......normally
just eyeliner and mascara is enough for me. However, each lipstick I have
tried in the past 6 months leaves my lips with a *burned* feeling and the
top layer just peels off the next day, leaving me with very sore lips. Is
this perhaps a gluten problem too????

Anyone else suffer like this??
And anyone know of lipstick that is safe for us to use??

I will summarise the answers I get to the list, if you reply to me
personally please!

Thanks for being there, this group is a God send.

Love
Chris
