Dear listmates, Is anyone familiar with Amyloidosis in association with CD?
This is a remote issue but really, maybe someone with CD has heard of?
This is what the doctors previously thought was rheumatoid arthritis or is
in addition to rheumatoid arthritis. She's never been tested for CD but has
another genetic and familial disease called Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy, a
disease that can cause cardiac arrest and is often found in athletes who die
of sudden death. I have CD but when my sister asked her doctors for CD
testing, they didn't think she had it; Of course, we know that is the wrong
response. I was just putting this out there to see if anyone has heard of
it in CD.
THis is the first site that came up thru a google search:
http://edcenter.med.cornell.edu/CUMC_PathNotes/Immunopathology/Immuno_04.html

Any information is gladly appreciated,
Laura Y.
