Hi Listmates:  In response the this snippit from a posting, this is my
greatest problem about trying to be gluten free-not the diet, not the fact
that I can't eat flours etc but the fact that I don't know what I am eating
and the fact that I can not rely on someone else to know whether something is
Gf or not.  So since I finally have a much better understanding of the hidden
glutens I have not eaten out(except for foods that are obviously GF-Baked
potatoes!)  and frankly do not have the time, energy and patience at the
moment to deal.  I picked up a can of Heinz Vegetarian beans which I love and
was about to eat them when noticed they were made in Canada.  I remembered
that distilled Vinegars in the US are made from corn or apples or something,
but that in Canada they can be made from grains.  I had been saving this can
of beans until I got clear on the Vinegar and having read here that Heinz
makes their own vinegars fron No-grains , was all set to have beans and
toast.  Well mow what do I do?  This Nafta stuff and world trade and
marketing makes it very difficult as who know where anything comes from
before it is put into a product.  Does Heinz make Canada use Heinz's own
vinegars that they use in their other products here-like do they ship it up
there or what- The more I learn the less I know it seems-Good Health to you
