Diverticulosis is not noticable on the skin. It is a condition in the
intestine in which small sacs (called 'diverticula') form on the intestinal
wall. Occasionally, tiny food particles (especially things like seeds
and nuts) will become trapped in a diverticulum sac. If the diverticula
become inflammed, causing pain and constipation, the condition is known
as diverticulitis.
