Are you frosted that celiac disease is so under diagnosed? Are you frosted
that the FDA has not released gluten-free guidelines for food manufacturers?

COME FROST THIS INSTEAD.

Cookbook author Jules Shepard, Whole Foods Markets, and Embassy Suites
Washington DC (Downtown) are teaming up to build the world's tallest
gluten-free cake on May 4 at the Embassy Suites hotel. The event brings
awareness to the prevalence of celiac disease and the need for the FDA to
release long overdue gluten-free guidelines. To lend your support go to
www.1in133.org . Make a contribution, sign the petition and come to
Washington on May 4 to help frost this cake.

All proceeds after expenses will go to benefit the American Celiac Disease
Alliance (www.americanceliac.org ). The ACDA, you might recall, was
instrumental in passing the Food Allergen Labeling and Consumer Protection
Act (FALCPA) so that "wheat" is declared when it is in a product. This is
the next step.

The 12-foot cake and this effort are a tall order and need all of our help.

Without You, there is no frosting on this cake!

Beth Hillson

President, American Celiac Disease Alliance
