Reading the question about test results from another list member has
triggered my question:
Hopefully, your combined wisdom will help me as this list has been so
very helpful to me for the past several years.

Four years ago, my allergist ordered these tests.
Endomysial AB IgA negative
Reticulin IgA AB negative
Reticulin IgG AB high at 1:160
Antigliadin Abs, IgA negative
Antigliadin Abs, Igg high at 75
IgA high at 103
F79 gluten normal at 280

He told me I did not have all of the components necessary to diagnose
celiac.
I had been wheat free for a while, but not gluten free. After another
year and
two different gastro visits, I went gluten free on my own out of sheer
frustration.

I've been to a string of doctors because of continued stomach ailments.
Aside
from continued tummy troubles, the most frustrating symptom is slow but
steady
weight loss. (Normal weight - 130 Now 114 on a 5'6" frame. I'm
getting
pretty skinny!)
Recently, I visited an infectious disease/lyme disease/fibromyalgia
expert who only
takes difficult cases. After a battery of blood work to eliminate
certain things, his
immediate diagnosis: celiac disease.
He came to this conclusion from:
Gliadin AB IGG High at 42
Gliadin AB IGA negative at 7
So confusing! What is the criteria for a diagnosis, anyway! Did I
really have it four
years ago?

Even though I have been gluten free for over 3 years, I can't say I'm
much better.
I still continue to have tummy troubles. I do not have the big D but
typical IBS
symptoms and that feeling that my
stomach will be upset at any moment.
I take probiotics, eat only fresh simple foods and cannot tolerate
starches.
I am gluten, soy, dairy, corn and sugar free.

If his diagnosis is correct, my question is this: What do I do? I've
already been
practicing the ins and outs of a GF diet. I've even gone back through my
list of
products to make sure. I don't know how to be any more GF, but the
troubles still
persist. Even worked with a holistic doc for over a year and she's
stumped.
My stomach is too touchy - I cannot tolerate herbals or hydrochloric acid
blends.
Any comments? Advice?

I am to return to him in another week. He said he'd do some research by
next visit,
and I suspect he doesn't know where to go from here either.
Thanks for listening and for your help.....
