Hello fellow listmembers. I'm in sort of a predicament.

I recently found myself reacting to my toothpaste, Sensodyne brand.
I've been GF for a year and a half, and during that time I've slowly
gotten too sensitive to do anything but make everything I eat from
scratch. Most GF brands of pre-made food cause a reaction, and I can't
even sit in a restaurant without reacting to the gluten present in the
air. I can't handle known-to-be-GF meds- for example, Tylenol. So far
I haven't found any of this particularly troublesome; there weren't
MacDonalds a hundred years ago, and people got along just fine.
...And had really terrible teeth. So I have a couple questions:

1. Is baking soda powder an effective way to clean your teeth in the
absense of toothpaste? I'm pretty sure (though not positive) that
toothpaste is out at this point. I'm also flossing (no wax or flavor).

2. Has anyone reacted to Sensodyne but not some other brand? (I know
this is unlikely...)

3. Any tips on oral hygiene that don't involve any special products
that could end up in my stomach?

I'm planning on asking my dentist (who I haven't seen since my
diagnosis because I'm afraid of her toothpaste and equiptment), but it
will be a couple months.

Thanks for reading!
Susan
