It seems like hiatal hernias are very common.  They are probably not related to
CD since a large percentage of people have them.  Usually there is no
recommended treatment.  They can cause acid reflux.  One person said that
drinking mint tea helps and that it probably won't heal but it should get
better.  Another person said to avoid dairy and meat (which I do).  One person
had surgery with great results.  She avoids sodas besides gluten.  Another
person takes zantac and eats smaller meals.
