 Dear List Mates,

I am pleased to let you know that six members of the American Celiac
Disease Alliance were interviewed for articles which appeared in
yesterday's USA TODAY special report on Celiac Disease which covered
topics from diagnosis and the gluten-free lifestyle to diet, camps,
stocking the pantry and travel. Open to the first inside page and
Andrea Levario, executive director of the Alliance is featured with an
overview of the disease. Dr. Alessio Fasano, head of the Center for
Celiac Research at the University of Maryland discusses research. Dr.
Peter Green, director of the Celiac Disease Center at Columbia
University discusses medical challenges and advances in Celiac
treatment. I talk about stocking the pantry, and maintaining a
healthy attitude to go along with a healthy diet. Cynthia Kupper,
executive director of GIG talks about the GF Restaurant Awareness
Program and kids summer camps. Elaine Monarch, Executive Director of
the Celiac Disease Foundation helps readers negotiate the food maze
and the challenges of being gluten-free.

May is Celiac Awareness Month. Download a copy of the report from the
ACDA's website at www.americanceliac.org and send to colleagues,
friends, family, and physicians who might benefit from knowing more
about Celiac Disease.

All the best,

Beth Hillson
