Our 4 year old son (diagnosed with CD May 2002) gets canker sores often. Is this related to CD?

His sores are *very* sore today, and he is refusing food. Pediatrician said to mix Maalox and Benadryl (half and half) and apply to sores.

I went to the pharmacy. Our son is also sensitive to food dyes.
Pharmacist called Maalox, and they told him that Maalox has corn gluten. CORN GLUTEN??? What is that? Does anyone know if it is GF or not? Does anyone know a GF substitute?

We found the Children's dye-free benadryl, but it is bubble gum flavor. Does anyone know if that is GF?

Does anyone have any GF, dye free, vinegar free, canola free treatment suggestions for a little boy with a very sore mouth?

Thanks for any help!

~Beckah
