Dear List,

I've been reading about the airline food problem. I find it simpler to
carry a pop-top can of Star Kist Tuna or Swanson's Chicken. Warning: DO
NOT USE Chicken of the Sea pop top cans. The top is unreliable. I have
a 2" deep scar on my left hand, requiring 7 stitches to prove it. I
wrote the Chicken of the Sea people to ask them to correct the problem
and their only response was for me to send my medical and hospital bill.
I was not asking for reimbursement, since my insurance paid the bills. I
had another of these cans with me on a trip to New Orleans and found a
helpful man on the tour also had a problem opening the can. I therefore
went without lunch on a tour picnic.Thank goodness he wasn't harmed while
doing a good deed!

Anyway, back to the airline food - the flight attendants think they are
being helpful by adding bread, croutons, and other non-gf items,so just
be prepared by taking something along.

Have a gluten free day!
