Hi listmates,

I guess it never hurts to ask. I wrote to Jean Carper, the health and
nutrition author of books and news columns to request that she do a
column for the USA Weekend magazine inserted in national newspapers,
about celiac and include some recipes. This is the response I got so we
have another article to look forward to in the fall. I know it was
already in her mind to do it but I like to think I reinforced the need.

Dear Karen. What a coincidence. I have just been thinking that I
should do a column on this terrible problem. Thank you for your
encouragement and the article. And I will set my mind to some
recipes...although I know they are a challenge. Thanks again. You can
look for a column by fall. Yes, unfortunately, it takes that much lead
time, because some of my schedule is set. Also, glad you like my
articles. I am now working on a cookbook to be published in August--of
150 recipes previously published in my column.

All the best,
Jean Carper
