I would like to create an online data base of gf foods using input from
members of this listserve. I am able to do with a program called
ColdFusion that enables a web site to communicate and update a data base
that also sits on the web server. For an example of this, go to:
www.tech2learn.net/cf Here I have created a data base of useful
educational web sites for teachers. With a password login, they can
update the data base. I don't see why we can't do the same thing with a
list of gf foods.

The first thing that I need to do is design the data base using
ACCESS - deciding what fields of information will be needed, such
as: category, company, food, and also verification of the GF
status via source/phone call/letter, etc. If anyone can think of
anything else....please let me know.

Once this is set up, I would give a password to the listmembers and
we can have an ongoing list of products that have been officially
cleared. Obviously, this list can only be as good as the
information that you send. If we become careless in our product
verification and the list contains items that have not been checked
out, it will lose it's credibility.

Anyway, I would like feedback on this proposal and suggestions.
