Fruit protein smoothie
I was hungry from a long walk. I'm trying to lose a little more weight, and I'm a health food nut. So it has to be healthy. Here's a smoothie I just came up with that's pretty good. Frozen berries might be better. May add crushed ice.
1 cup unsweetened almond milk
2 scoops gf chocolate protein powder I used two of Blue Bonnet.)
1 tbs chia seeds and 2 tbs flaxmeal
about a half cup blueberries...that's all I had, or I would have used more.
about a cup of strawberries...that's all I had.
1 ripe golden pear for sweetness. Banana would be great, but I'm allergic to bananas.
It's thick enough to use a spoon and whipped up to the entire blender...so I'll have more tomorrow. If I added sweetener, it would be stevia. If I can believe the stats on My Fitness Pal, the calories come to 466 for two huge smoothies. With all that chia and flax, one is all I'll have today.
