"Amoxiciillin if manufactured by Apothecon is GF, as are Amoxicillin chewable
tablets made by Teva. BUT The same drug made by SmithKline Beecham does not
contain known gluten but the company does not guarantee no cross
contamination."

"Also GF are Cephalexin, Cipro, Erythromycin, Veetids, and Zithromax."

"Penicillin VK Tabs ARE NOT gf."

"Amoxil and Trimox (two brand names) are gluten free."

"The generic amoxicillin that was prescribed for me (for oral surgery) gave
me an absolutely horrid gluten reaction. The Keflex that was given next was
fine."

"Have your pharmacist call the manufacturer for you. Mine does before he
fills a Rx for me. You can also check Stokes Pharmacy online. They have a
listing of gf drugs." (Stokes Pharmacy also has an 800 number in New Jersey)
