Thanks to everyone who answered my question about emotions, volatility etc. before going GF.  There was an overwhelming response.  All said they had been anxious, depressed, volatile and emotional and this had died down after becoming GF though with some it took some time.

I found it enormously comforting to read and have put the e-mails together (names and ID omitted).  It comes to 6 pages and if anyone wants the full document, please email me and I will send it.  There was nothing that would be helpful about coping, but it was comforting not to be alone and useful if that family members may understand things better.
