Hey everyone!

I was shopping at Safeway the other day and came across the EAS Advant
Edge Nutrition Bars. They were only 99 cents. So, I bought one and
called the company. They said that all of their nutrition bars are
wheat and gluten-free. The representative was very proud of that fact
too!

Anyhow, I bought the peanut butter one. UPC# 91083 30003. It has a
chocolate coating, which I didn't know, since I'm trying to avoid
lactose. But it tasted GREAT. I have eaten so many protein bars. This
one really tastes good. I'm sure the sugar count has something to do
with that. ha ha :) Just to let you all know, here is the breakdown:

1 bar:

220 calories
5 grams fat
1 gram saturated fat
10 mg Cholesterol
270 mg Sodium
120 mg Potassium
28 grams of total carbohydrates
1 gram of Dietary Fiber
20 grams of SUGAR (okay, OUCH!)
15 grams of protein

I know the sugar is high, but if a person is eating in moderation and
eating a balanced diet, this shouldn't be a problem. This bar appears
to be full of vitamins and minerals as well. There is also a blend of
both soy and whey protein. I just thought some of you might like to
know! I think they are a great snack when you are in a hurry.

By the way, I have no association with this company. I don't understand
why they don't just put "gluten-free" on their label. That would be
GREAT!!
