Hi,

I received about 20 replies and all were helpful. Just about all of
them recommended contacting the host to obtain the caterer's name/number
and then contacting the caterer prior to the event to have them prepare
a GF meal for you.

A few indicated that you can talk with the caterers on site at the event
and they should be able to tell you what's in what because everything
must be kosher...and for that reason they should know what's in what.

Most people said it was not proper to bring in your own foods due to the
kashrut policy...and that it would not be "kosher" to do so.

A few people have indicated they have brought in their own GF Kosher
bagels, crackers (to put chopped liver and cream cheese, cheese, etc,
on), and pastries (all in baggies)...so they don't feel left out, and
it's been no problem.

So, the overall consensus was to work with the caterer and you should be
able to eat some foods there.
