I would be interested in hearing from anyone taking tri boron plus. How do
you take it, simply Tri boron plus and no additional calcium? How long did
it take to restore bone density?

I could not tolerate Actonel or Fosomax, before i was diagnosed with celiac.
Instead, my doctor prescribed Didronel which is also a bisphosphonate, but
is taken for 2 weeks every three months. I also have to take Citracal +D
daily. My bone density improved very minimally after I was on the celiac
diet, and this regimen.

I don't think the Didronel agrees with me and I am also concerned about
osteonecrosis. I would be very pleased if the tri boron plus would
eliminate the need for daily Citracal plus D, and more markedly improve my
bone density.

Thanks,

I am currently taking it along with vitamin D. Won't know until June when I
have my next bone density if I have improved. I don't want to take Fosomax &
my doc wants me to so I am trying this on my own.

I am the one who originall posted info about TriBoron. it is a calcium, mag
supplement with boron and vit d added for absorption. The dose is 1000ng
oer day,,,your body does not aborb more than about 500mg at a time, so split

up the dose. I saw a big change in bone density in less than a year.

Our pastor's teen daughter had a compound fracture, and after the
orthopedic surgeon operated and pinned it, he told her to take
boron along with cal/mag/D supplement. I do not know the dose
and she has since married & moved.

Our daughter had bad bone pain and is very finely boned structure
wise compared to me (who is a big ox). Her Dad is also rather
thin framed for a male (also a celiac). To get rid of the bone
pain she was taking calcium/magnesium/D (2000 Cal, 1000Mag,
2000 to 3000 VitD) and a tbsp. of bonemeal for phosphorus a day
until the pain subsided, then she cut the D back to 1000 for
maintenance since she can't take dairy. On this regimen she
started growing again at 14 (had not grown since 10), gained 1&1/2
in. and a shoe size. Still a tiny amount of growth at just
turned 18 but she has gotten sloppy about vitamins as she feels
better (kids!).

I have no experience with the bisphosphonates but would encourage
you to read about fosamax etc. at www.mercola.com which is an
excellent medical site.
