<<Disclaimer: Verify this information before applying it to your situation.>>

The rules of our List do not allow posts in which there is the
possibility of a commerical relationship. But there might be some
interest in this activity. Therefore, I am posting it for everyone's
information.

I have no additional information and all questions should be directed to
Shel Bercovich <[log in to unmask]> not me or the List.

Howdy, all,

Those of you who were on the list last year about this time will know I
tried to get a Gluten Free trail ride going. We had some difficulties,
but now there is some exciting news.

Had a chance at our AGM to talk to the doctor on our Executive who would
not support my earlier attempts to set up this ride. She said that she
now _would_ support the ride if we could meet the following criteria:

1. we have a _minimum_ of 20 riders. All riders would eat GF food (most
of the non-GF riders would not know the difference anyways, except for
the bread).

2. we would all have to sign a waiver to the extent that, although the
TRCR, as organizer, and the outfitter, who provides the horses and
cooking factilities, will make every attempt to provide a GF ride, there
is no way they can _guarantee_ that someone would not have a reaction.

3. an "observer" or "supervisor" would be chosen from among the guests
or brought in especially _by_ the guests to oversee the preparation of
meals and the GF status of the ingredients.

4. all ride fees would have to be paid in full at an early date,
possibly the end of March.

5. the date of the ride would likely be our normally scheduled ride #5.
For 1998, our 75th anniversary year, that will begin on Sunday, August
2nd. The ride ends on Friday, August 7th. For more details on our 1998
rides, please have a look at our Web pages at:

BTW, we're working on a special memento to be given to each of the
riders next summer and there will be other memorabilia available as
well.

I know there are a lot of qualifications there, but at least it's a
start. Please let me know, a.s.a.p., what your thoughts are on this.

If you are interested in this Gluten Free Trail Ride please send your
inquiries to me at: <mailto:[log in to unmask]> Subject: Re: GF
Trail Ride And by all means have a look at our Web Site at

Looking forward to possibly seeing you this summer.

Happy trails,

Shel Bercovich, (a TRCR Past President) <[log in to unmask]>
