I remember reading that corn syrup had vanilla in it . Sure enough my
bottle of Karo brand corn syrup lists vanilla. I will contact the
manufacturer to see in what form it is added. My question is...Is the
ingredient corn syrup listed on many labels pure corn syrup or does it
usually have vanilla in it. I never had considered it a possible source
of gluten when I saw it listed as an ingredient. I just rejected some
apple sauce because corn syrup was listed.

I am also wondering about glycerine. I found a brand of vanilla that was
in glycerine not alcohol, but I am unfamiliar with glycerine as an
ingredient.

Thanks to all in advance.
