Sorry to take so long to summarize regarding very small selection of stores
with GF foods & few restaurants near Tampa area, but I was away awhile.

Here are the responses I got.
1 person had a vast selection of restaurants ie; Carrabas, Outback Mangrove
& Shells.
1 person had excellent experience & thought I was dramatic.
1 person thought Northerners have a long memory of the civil war.
1 found a good health food store in Sarasota.(2 or more hrs. away from New
Tampa area)
1 found a good health food store in Titusville (several hrs. away from me)
1 found a good health food store at Indian Beach (will look for this)
2 said Ft.Lauderdale has a good store
2 said Orlando is good
1 said Palm Beach has a better selection & also So. FL is good.
1 said S. FL has poor choices.
2 people agreed with me
1 said Jacksonville is good
1 referred me to a support group website(I will try this)

Most of the areas mentioned as being good are 2-4 hrs. away & not practical
to drive to for groceries or dining.

Mary

Thanks everyone for the responses. I really liked the one about the civil
war & I'll try to remember that.
