Floating the Yakima with Fun Friends and Fine Dining
 
The Yakima River is not a whitewater river. It tends to be a gentle ride,  
roughly two hours in length. Professional guides from Central Washington  
University will provide navigation and safety. Life vests will be provided.  Adults 
of every level of fitness are welcome to attend. Children 12 and up are  also 
invited.
 
After two hours of soaking up sun on the water you will be treated to a GF  
barbeque featuring Glondo?s Sausages from Cle Elum, Washington. There will be  
plenty of fresh salads, side dishes and local specialty foods to entice even 
the  gluten eaters, so register your whole family. You may also choose to 
register  for the BBQ only. 
 
Hotel accommodations can be made at Days Inn for a special rate of $76.49  
/night for two queen beds. This includes a continental breakfast that we will  
supplement with gluten-free specialty items. Mention the Ellensburg GIG River  
Float for the special rate. There is also camping available at KOA for 
$25/tent  (up to 2 people) and $33/RV hook-up (up to 2 people). Group tent sites are  
available for 10 or more people up to 12 tents for $7/person. Call to reserve 
 campsites.
 
All rafters will need to meet at the Days Inn parking lot by 9:15 am to  
begin the rafting trip.
