Thanks to all those who replied to my inquiry about a restaurant in San
Mateo, CA. Wanted to say that the restaurant is a chain and there are 45
throughout the country. They have a menu that shows necessary
modifications for GF eating. You can check out their website at
www.firstwatch.com <http://www.firstwatch.com/> . It has the menu and GF
modifications. It serves breakfast, lunch and brunch. I don't have any
personal experience there but the reviews were good, at least for the
San Mateo site. It is always good to have more restaurant options.
Also, for those who enjoy Indian food, good GF canned Indian food is
made by Jyoti foods. Their website is www.jyotifoods.com
<http://www.jyotifoods.com/> .
I spoke to the owner and she stated all their products are GF so
contamination is not an issue. The ingredients are also listed on the
website. I eat a lot of Indian food and this stuff is pretty darn good,
especially when you are in a hurry. Throw it over rice and have it with
some plain yogurt and you are good to go. Many of the products are also
dairy free for those who can't tolerate dairy and the simmer sauces are
great for meats or tofu. I have no affiliation with this company. I just
thought their products were great and hadn't seen much on the list about
them. Aloha, Amy
