I am a 32 year old female, diagnosed with celiac 2 years ago (biopsy &
blood). Also have osteoporosis (bone density scan after spinal compression
fracture) and have been on fosomax for 2 years with some bone density
improvement. So far so good. Also have a daughter conceived and born before
knowledge of celiac / osteoporosis and also before Fosomax.

Now, thinking about another child and most doctors are uncertain about
fosomax and pregnancy as it is mainly used in post-menopausal women. So I
am looking for anyone who knows of / has been through a similar
predicament. Do I continue Fosomax for another year and hope to get more
bone density improvement (as most improvements happen in 2-3 years) or do I
discontinue Fosomax now. My main concern is am I increasing risks for
future pregnancies, or have I already? Anyone out there had any similar
experience?

Email directly back to me ([log in to unmask]) and I'll post a summary
email on the listserve.

Thanks!
