Below is a summary of responses I received about my post for Wisconsin
Dells.
Thanks to all who responded.

Becky W.
Davenport, IA

Summary

--I have only been to the dells once in Aug too cold for noah's ark. I was
not on a gf diet but culver's is a hamburger chain there fries are gf and
they use a dedicated fryer. I eat hambugers w/out a bun and fries. The
plain vanilla ice cream is good. Culvers are all over Wisconsin so I find
them good for a quick lunch.

---Try www.goodhealthpublishing.com for a guide with 50 national/regional
restaurants and their lists of Gf/WF menu items

--I was just there, eat mostly at Mc Donalds. Also went to Country Kitchen.
Ate chopped steak. skipped the salad dressing cuz the only Italian was
light and in a package that had modified food starch. I had the potatoes
with it. You can also have breakfast 24hrs, that's what my mom had. I
didn't appear to have any problems. You can have hamburger at Culvers, but
I believe they fry french fries with other stuff there. Their custard and
topings are gluten free. We stayed in a condo so also made some of our own
meals. There is a candy store by the Country kitchen that had ingredients
for their fudge and toffee (i just asked and she showed them to me),
appears to be gluten free. I eat if and seemed ok. The Swiss Maid fudge
listed flour as an ingredient.

--Probably not a family place, but www.sundaraspa.com is a beautiful spot to
visit. The chef is Kimberely Anderson and she is very knowledgeable re
celiac. She prepared me a wonderful meal last week when we visited the
Dells. However, you have to either stay there or have a service done in
order to eat there. You mention a family and that is probably not the best
spot for you. Worth a look, however.
