Just wanted to let everyone know that there is still room on my GF Beginner's Backpack run through the Sierra Club. It's an 8 day (counting the first day, where we meet in camp), 28 mile loop in the Emigrant Wilderness in CA (4 hrs due east of the Bay Area), with 2 layover days to rest up. The trip # is 12127 and the description can be found here: http://www.sierraclub.org/outings/national/brochure/12127a.aspx. We will add 12-16 lbs to your packs (all food, group equipment, stoves, fuel, etc.), so if you can keep your pack weight around 22-25 lbs, you should be able to comfortably cover 4-6 miles per moving day.

If you have questions, you are welcome to email me directly. I am a volunteer leader (this is how I spend my vacation every year) and have no financial interest in the organization. I just want to expose more gluten-intollerant folks to the beauty of the wilderness.
