Hey all
I just have to vent for a minute. I work with a woman who is a pain in the
butt when it comes to me having a food intolerance. I think she thinks she
is being concerned or helpful but to me its irrating. Perhaps some of you
can relate:
1. she always announces when theres pizza or cookies at work, and always
announces loudly to me "except for you <my name>" in a motherly voice like
shes reminding a little kid they have to be good. ugh.
2. her sister in law was misdaignosed with celiac, she really just has a
wheat allergy, so she thinks im full of bull and I should reintroduce wheat
back into my diet like she did and I will get better. Shes very adamant
that she is right.
3. i was eating some cheese puffs at my desk and she comes over and is like
wow you can eat these? whats in them? i dont look away from what im doing
and say corn. shes like ah. so shes blabbing about something and says i
cant believe you can eat these did you check the ingredients? I say
sarcastically "no, i wonder if I can eat them"
I have deemed her a "gluten snob".
