Using a gluten-free list that was posted back in April, we went out to
Outback Steakhouse. The list was a good one and below each menu item,
it was stated "what" on the item was gf and what was not. Also, what
you could substitute if something wasn't gf. There was one glich when
we went there, and I just wanted to pass it on.

My son had the Junior Ribs kids meal, substituting the fries with a
baked potato. It was delicious and he loved the ribs. We also had the
Grilled Shrimp on the Barbie appetizer. We explained to our waiter
about the gluten-free diet and gave an example of "no bread products".
(I've found when you say flour or wheat, they don't always connect what
can be made with that.) So, we get our shrimp appetizer and there's
about 6 of them laying on a long piece of dark toast. I explained this
to the waiter and he was nice enough to bring some extra shrimp without
the toast for my son. Normally I can't get my 7 year old to eat shrimp,
but he liked theirs.

So, make a note if you go there to remind them not to put the shrimp on
toast. This was not noted on the gf list, so I just wanted to point it
out.
