The new Toucan Market in the Pan American Plaza has g-f items all
over the store! For example, if you go in for Ener-G bread, there
must have been 4 dozen loaves stacked by the bread counter. Cereals,
flours, mixes -- you name it, it's located within the appropriate
section! (There's also bread in the cooler with milk and orange
juice.) I also saw lots of dairy-free ice cream in the freezer with
the Blue Bunny ice cream.
I spoke with the owner and he said that his father had been a celiac.
He's willing to order anything we ask for, so let's keep him busy!
I'd like to get together with another celiac and compile a list of
specifically gluten-free products they have on hand to post on a web
site. Anybody game? I even approached the owner about having a
"Gluten-Free Jamboree" there some evening after they close. Sound
like fun? Maybe this could get our group going again ...
Their web address is <http://www.toucanmarket.com>. When you get to
the page, put "gluten" or "GF" in the search box and see what
happens. Also, don't miss the coupons page. (Disclaimer: I have no
financial interest in the store - just an excited potential customer!)

PS I'm also looking for suggestions from the whole list as to the
best-of-the-best products you think we shouldn't miss trying. I much
prefer buying g-f items in person to buying them on the Internet, so
any advice will be appreciated.
