Hi everyone,

I was diagnosed with CD in December via a biopsy and genetic test
(blood serums were negative), and have been gluten-free and feeling
GREAT since.

I have an 18 month old daughter who has NO signs of CD, but because I
know I carry the gene, I'm a little concerned that she may develop
the disease later on.

So, my question is:

Should I keep her gluten-free?

She eats gluten-free now because my house is a gluten-free house, but
should I be worried at the park when another child hands her a
goldfish or a wheat cracker? Should I keep her strictly gluten-free
because she "might" develop CD?

I'm seeing a CD doctor in May and will pose the same questions to
him, but thought I would get some opinions from others out there in
the meantime. I would never forgive myself if I allowed her to eat
gluten only to have some irreparable damage done to her....

Any advice would be helpful...

Thank you,

Stephanie Kelley
