A thought I would like to suggest to anyone in a hospital who is served food that contains gluten, is to contact the patient advocate or patient representative in the hospital. This person's name and phone number is provided in the patient's rights booklet typically given when you are admitted. Personally I have not used a patient advocate for dietary issues but I have for other issues and was amazed at their concern and how hard they worked to get my concerns resolved promptly. Patient advocates are there to help, know who to contact and how to get results. Let them fight your battles for you so you can focus on getting well.
