Ken, I would like to respond to a number of your comments.
1. This is a support group. Presenting things in a supportive manner
would be appreciated.
2. Different people's metabolisms react in different ways. Some people
with Celiac are "asymptomatic", or don't present the classic reaction
others experience. Some people have severe reactions to even minute
trace elements.
3. People with Celiac Sprue do damage to the gut every time they ingest
gluten. Long term damage can include a higher risk of intestinal
lymphoma (cancer).
4. I would rather remove crumbs than undergo chemotherapy down the
road,personally speaking.
5. To call people "anal", becasue they are taking responsible measures
for an autoimmune disease that is controlled by dietary intake is
inappropriate, and come to think of it, quite the contrary. Celiacs take
these measures so as to not have anal problems!
