Support Group--Celiac/Gluten Intolerance Tues. April 20--7pm

TOPIC: Fiber and the Gluten Free Diet

Bring your favorite recipe(s) for something high fiber---gluten-free main
entree, salad, bread, or whatever! Extra copies to share with the group is
ideal, if possible!

Please have ideas on how you make your daily GF diet higher in fiber---so
we can share 'tips'.

Plus--Gwen is compiling the list of all of your 'GF Favorites' to
distribute at the meeting --Thank you Gwen!

Also, see below: follow up from a previous meeting....Thank you Amanda!

Someone was looking for cooked brown rice and Trader Joe's no longer
carried it. I found:
Uwajimiya - Renton - has a number of GF mixes (Chebe, and some others) as
well as their standard Asian fair (some precooked rice) Safeway (Panther
Lake) has a LARGE selection of precooked rice (rice, brown rice and
rice/quinoa) some of which were Safeway brand (aka cheapish) and all the ingredients
are standard English.

Your support group is valuable, motivational, informative and fun. Please
make an effort to join us just once-a-month. (Same time -- same place --
good habit.) We care about newly diagnosed people who are training for
gluten-free food management. Do not stay "overwhelmed."

Regard our gluten-free way of life as a positive lifestyle, not a
restricted diet. View it as an opportunity to explore new foods and flavors.
Approach it with a positive, open mind and embrace it as your ticket to good
health!
