    Hi everyone,

I'm so grateful for this list. in the past I've seen posts about reflux meds
and info on GERD. I've also noted that some people have blamed low-acid for
reflux. I have some questions.

A little background: I've had reflux for 17 years. They recently tried
nexium, prilosec, aciphex, tagament, sulcrafate, and xantac. None of these meds
have helped me. I still suffer from esophogeal spasms and a persistant cough
-- they think the acid is burning my vocal cords and causing the cough. I've
been coughing for 10 years. No one has been able to make it go away.

I would appreciate any insights or advice anyone has to help me with this
problem. The situation is progressively getting worse. I can't sleep because of
the coughing. I can't teach -- I teach English, because I lose my voice.
I'm exhausted. I don't know what I should be eating or if there is another med
that I haven't tried.

Thank you for letting me share. You guys are always great!
Desiree
