Listmates,

I have met a man who seems that he might have celiac, but he does not think
his doctors have looked at that yet. He has lost weight down to 113 pounds,
and they are guessing he has something wrong with his pancreas and have
scheduled surgery for Friday. I sent him the celiac faq last night, and it
looks applicable. I also just did a search on medline on articles that
spoke of both celiac and pancreas in the same breath and there were 675 of them!

He said his doctors are not at all confident that they know what they are
doing. Can one/some of you professionals come to his rescue here? I'd love
to have a name and phone number of one of you who could talk to his doctors
and make sure they know what they need to know before they do this
exploratory surgery.

Thanks!

Susan Owens
