Due to the demand for the BBQ season, the Rib It On...Rub It In seasoning mix is still on sale for $5.40.  More recipes will be added to the website this month for easy and mouth-watering entrees and appetizers.

 

Also at www.glutenfreemixes.com are the GIG meeting locations for Portland/Vancouver and new store locations for products from Laurel's Sweet Treats (available in Oregon and Indiana).   Information will be listed for the Fall Food Fair this September 6.  Watch for information on the National GIG convention scheduled for June 4-6, 2004 in beautiful Portland, Oregon.

 

The newest product to be released in August is the "Graham-less Crackers" (final testing necessary and name also in testing stages).  The smores never tasted so good!  Can also be used for cheesecake crust by pressing into the bottom of a spring form or pie pan (not necessary to make the crackers first). 

 

Recipe for BBQ Sauce using the Rib It On. Rub It In:

 

Heat 2 tbsp of oil in saucepan.  Add ¾ cup finely chopped onions and ½ cup Rib It On mixture.  Cook over low heat until dissolved and onions are soft.  Remove from heat and add ¾ cup ketchup, 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice, 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce, 2 tsp mustard (Dijon optional) and 2 tsp whiskey (optional).  Stir all ingredients together.  Makes 1 ¾ cup sauce - enough for 4 lbs ribs or 3 lbs chicken pieces.
