I am curious to what many of you have been told in regards to positive blood
tests but negative biopsies. Here is the story, I know a lady that has a 20
month old child. Her child tested positive on 2 of the blood tests, several
months later she had her biopsy. When she spoke with the nurse on the phone
the nurse told her that there was a good chance she could have a false
positive. When I talked with her I explained that this was very unusual and
not that common. It also ticked me off that medical professionals were
giving out untrue medical advice and giving her a false sense of hope. A
week later the GI DR., told her basically the same thing and that her
intestines looked good and she probably just had a false positive. URGGG! I
have heard of false NEGATIVE, but False positive? Why is it acceptable for
the medical community to wait until the intestine is badly damaged, not to
mention yeast overgrowth, food intolerance and so on, before anyone will
suggest a gluten free diet? What is even more unbelievable is that this
happened at one of the top 10 Children's Hospital's in the U.S.
