Regarding Mara's post about non-intentional poisonings at the hands of
loved ones and friends....I agonized about how to handle this situation
also. Should I tell them I was sick or not? I think my solution might
help others in this delicate situation. I tell them how delicious the food
item was and ask for the recipe. Then I can review the ingredients and
gently review later my dietary restrictions including the offending
ingredient. It is a gentle and complimentary way of handling it.
