Hi all,

When reading Pam Goodman's summary on Hershey, I noticed an item about
tomato paste and puree not being gluten free. I have reactions to products
(salsas, barbecue sauces) that have these ingredients in them, even though
the company states that a product is gluten free. For instance, I cannot
eat any of the Muir Glen products, even thought they told me on the phone
that their tomato products were gluten free.

I can eat tomatoes with no problem, as well as ketchup and Five Brother's
tomato sauces, which don't have paste or puree.

Anyway, does anyone else have this problem? Or know why some of the purees
and pastes have gluten?

And, mostly, I find that all barbecue sauces have puree or paste in them, so
I have avoided them and I miss them terribly. I would like to know which
ones are eaten successfully by anyone out there--not just stated to be
gluten free by their manufacturer.

I will summarize!

Thanks!

Maggie
