A year or two back I had a fairly severe gluten reaction after eating a
large portion of sugar snap peas imported from South America. The name was
something like Miss Freida's and they looked quite perfect in their
cellophane package. I assumed they were coated with wheat starch, and have
avoided imported sugar snaps ever since. I eat local ones with no problem.
