GIG is pleased to announce that Tricia Thompson, The Gluten-Free Dietitian, is endorsing the Chef to Plate Awareness Campaign.

Tricia is the author of The Gluten-Free Nutrition Guide and the co-author of The Complete Idiot's Guide to Gluten-Free Eating. She has worked with the American Dietetic Association to update a number of materials on celiac disease and is a member of the ADA Evidence Analysis Team on Celiac Disease, who's new Practice Guidelines, will be presented at the annual association meeting in October. Chef to Plate is now an awareness program being celebrated during May, national celiac awareness month. The campaign involves working with restaurants that offer GF menu options in helping to spread awareness of celiac disease and other forms of gluten intolerances. Restaurants participate by displaying awareness posters or table tents during May. Some will also host group celebrations on May 3rd.

We invite you to help recruit restaurants you know to serve GF meals. Ask them to display a poster or table tents during May. All materials are provided at no charge by GIG. Help them to sign up. Do you want to do more? Become a local campaign leader.
