As a newly biopsy-diagnosed celiac, I am learning every day from the
knowledgeable folks on this list. Thank you for all the information you've
shared.

Have any of you encountered a minor skin discoloration that you associated
with celiac disease? My legs used to have flat white spots that
disappeared with rubbing. No discomfort was associated with these spots --
only teasing from my friends! Most doctors I consulted attributed the
spots to a circulation problem. Since the spots have now disappeared, I'm
wondering if they were somehow related to my diet. My teen daughter also
has these spots.

Also, does anyone know of any family screening programs in Virginia?

Thanks for any info.

Marlene
