Hi all.
I gashed my arm mountain biking the other day and was given a
prescription for an antibiotic--by time I got to the ER, the cut was
already getting infected. The drug is called Augmentin, and is made by
SmithKline Beecham. The inert ingredients are: Colloidal silicon
dioxide, hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, magnesium stearate,
microcrystalline cellulose, polyethylene glycol, sodium starch glycolate
and titanium dioxide. My pharmacist didn't know if any of these would be
problematic. Does anyone know if this stuff is GF? Also, for future
reference, what's the best way to find out about the status of
prescription medications?

Karen
