Hi,

I got my celiac anto-bodies and stool' Fat -test results and both were
negative for celiac. Also, I went on a HIGH wheat diet to check whether
that worsened my case - it didn't. So, I have kinda concluded that I am
not celiac. I would like to discuss my case here since you have been
very helpful in the past.

My ONLY symptom is a noisy stomach. I never had any digestive problems
until the middle of last Fall. Yes, I was heavily stressed out then
doing my Grad studies. Since then, I haven't really been able to figure
out why and when my stomach makes these noises which range from low
peeps to loud easily-audible ones. Plus, I get loud, frequent
borborygmis as well. That's it. No other symptom at all. No
constipation, no diarrhoe, no fever, no weakness etc. I have also found
that my stomach reacts to anxiety a lot. Eg. the probability of a noisy
stomach is much higher when I am attending a meeting a silent room! :(
that's the worst part!

My plan now is to stay on this HIGH wheat diet for a long time and then
get the stool test Dr. Fine. I would like to know if anyone else has
been through or is having similar problems and whether there are any
tips to relieve or solve(!!) this problem. I think (I am almost sure)
that apart from the embarrasment this causes, I have absolutely no other
problem with my digestive system. Excersise seems to help significantly.

Please do reply, I will summarize.

Vinod.

PS Yes, my GI specialist concluded it was stress-induced IBS.
