<<Disclaimer: Verify this information before applying it to your situation.>>

The Listowners are happy to announce that we now have 2700 subscribers
from 38 countries.

As part of this announcement, we would like to remind everyone of some
of the features and rules of the List, and few of the problems that
have occurred recently.

1. Our primary WWW site, http://rdz.acor.org/lists/celiac/index.html,
is experiencing power problems that result in various error codes
when you attempt to access the information. They have plans to
correct the problem, so please bear with us. In the meantime, if you
have problems accessing our WWW site your best bet is to simply wait
and try again a few hours later, as the problems are generally
intermittent.

2. All new subscribers are sent several files when they subscribe.
Their purpose is to give everyone an understanding of what is available
at the WWW, in our logfiles, and the reference files. Please use this
as a starting place to obtain answers before posting questions to the
List.

If you need additional information, please state in your post that
you have done a logfile/reference file review. Then ask the question
based upon this background of knowledge.

3. All requests for product information (food, medicine, etc.) must
include a location. Ingredients are different across borders and not
everyone is from the USA.

4. For those who obtain their mail at work: Please set your
subscription to nomail before leaving on trips. The "away from the
office, please contact..." message is just junk mail for all the other
subscribers. To correct this, one of the Listowners must turn your
mail off.

5. New information at the WWW site is mentioned in the section labeled
NEW. This is a good way to see what has been recently updated. Some
examples are: recipe updates, posts by our experts, new editions of
newsletters, etc.

For those without WWW access, you can request the filelist. This shows
each file with its associated date of last update. To obtain a copy,
send a message to [log in to unmask] containing the
following line:

   INDEX CELIAC

For an understand of what is available in each file, ask for the file
description file. Send a message to the above address containing the
following line:

   GET CELIAC FILEDESC

For the Listowners,
