Dear Listmates,

Well, here I am again. Do I need appologize for being at your door
again? I surely hope not as I think in my heart that this is the reason
that the list exists! Well, I am baffled by something and need your wise
imput into my life again. I am that 50 year old that found out in Dec that
I am celiac. Everything has much improved since going gluten free but for
my digestive abilities. Here is where I need great wisdom. I have been
told that I have a leaky gut. Sounds logical indeed, as I can only eat a
few food and can not tollerate much more. The confusing thing to me is
that the foods that I can eat seem to me to be the hardest to digest and I
don't seem to have any trouble with them at all. Here is what I can
eat: red meat i.e. steak, hamburgers etc., turkey and brown rice
cakes. Sometimes I can have cooked green beans only if I eat them with my
meat. Yup, that's it, those are the only things I can eat. I was eating
white rice but it congests me every time I try to eat it so I have cut it
out. Don't ask me why I can still eat the brown rice cakes I don't
understand that either. Now, the only other thing I can eat is even more
crazy, its Wendy's chili! Yup, that's what I said chili! Now, how come if
my whole problem is that my gut is leaky can I eat those things hard to
digest like steak and chili? Why is it that I can not have fruits or
vegetables or any type of sugars? 5 or 10 minutes after eating them my
stomach sours and I get a bad stomach ache. If its only been a small
amount an ascedphilus seems to help, otherwise it is off to the
bathroom. Yes, it is all gluten free, I am pretty sure of it. Even what
comes from our own garden does the same thing. My body can only have
proteins and I don't know why. Anyone have even the slightest
help? Thanks again and have I told you today that I am so glad that this
list is here!!! Nancy from Texas
