Perky’s Spooky Spider Cookies:  Perky’s Nutty Rice and Nutty Flax are
available in Health Food and Gluten Free shops nationally!  Everyone loves
these- perfect for your next party table.

Perky's Spooky Spider Cookies
½ cup Perky's Nutty Rice or Nutty Flax cereal
¼ cup honey or brown rice syrup
2 Tbsp potato starch
1 tablespoon nut, soy or sunflower butter 
¼ teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 1/2 c packaged flaked coconut - toast half of it
2 Tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
Variation: Add ¼ cup dried cherries or cranberries

Combine all ingredients except vanilla and coconut in small, heavy pan. Stir
over medium heat until mixture is blended and starts to boil. Remove from
heat and stir in vanilla. Use spatula to stir in coconut until thoroughly
blended. (Add dried fruit if using.) Let the cookies cool for 5 minutes or
so before shaping them on the waxed paper. Drop by teaspoonfuls on waxed
paper. Shape into spiders with fingers. Cool completely. Makes 24.
