Janet,

There is an article on glutamine I found on medline a few weeks ago, and
this is the reference:

In this article, they talk about how with parenteral feeding, they've had
problems with people developing leaky guts, but when they added glutamine to
the formula, the leaky gut went away.

Glutamine has a lot to do with the nervous system and the immune system, and
I'm still working on sorting it out in my own mind, for my daughter has a
lot of amino acid abnormalities. I'm concerned about understanding how it
relates to glutamate and GABA and glutathione.

Do we have any listmates who could explain these nuances?

Janet, if you come up with some more information in your studies, will you
share it with us?

Many thanks,

Susan Owens
