I want to thank you for so many responses with suggestions, good wishes, and
prayers regarding my son's episode. Although it only lasted about 20 minutes,
it was 20 minutes of pain and fear. The stomach pain, cold sweating, and
nausea has happened before but afterward he didn't see a doctor as he felt fine
(and Mom wasn't around). Tomorrow morning he will see a Gastro in Seattle.
The majority of replies thought it probably was not gluten related though
there is always that chance when one has CD. Suggestions included gallbladder,
appendix, kidneystones, pancreas, overgrowth of yeast, porphyria, cardiac
problems, twisted intestine, cancer, virus, ulcer, and constipation. Also food
poisoning. One person had similar pain and then medical testing. Nothing ever
showed. We're praying there is an easy answer that isn't too serious.
Again, thank you for caring and sharing your personal experiences. I'll let
you know any results and respond later to those who requested replies.
